Statement on the Conflict in Gaza

The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) stands with other health care organisations in calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, and the protection of all civilians in Gaza. It condemns the ongoing and sustained attacks on health care workers.

Statement on the Conflict in Gaza

The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) stands with other health care organisations in calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, and the protection of all civilians in Gaza. It condemns the ongoing and sustained attacks on health care workers.

In accordance with international humanitarian principles, the ISCP calls for
•    Urgent and unhindered access to humanitarian aid, 
•    Access to healthcare for all civilians who need it,
•    The immediate release of all individuals detained illegally, 
•    Protection of all health care workers to enable them to work without fear of violence or abduction, and
•    Protection of health care facilities.

Standing in solidarity with all healthcare workers providing care under unimaginable circumstances, the ISCP reaffirms its support for the World Health Professions Alliance (WHPA) statement on the conflict.
