In this one-day course, Thomas delivers a clear approach to the rehabilitation of low back pain (LBP). Drawing on numerous schools of thought, up to date research and his own extensive experience, he presents an evidenced based framework that will help clinicians make sense of the patient in front of them and to choose effective management strategies.

The course is highly practical, with particular focus on developing individualized exercise programs for patients, drawing on Motor Control, Strength & Conditioning and Functional Training approaches, amongst others. This allows participants to become flexible in their use of exercise medicine so that they can tailor programs to match the individual patient’s needs.

Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of developments in the field of spinal rehabilitation and exercise medicine and will develop confidence in managing patients with complex back pain through clear evidenced-informed education and exercise prescription. The result is that participants develop the theoretical and practical skills needed to manage low back pain within a biopsychosocial framework while at the same time (and very importantly) enjoying their clinical practice.
