Her research focuses on exercise-based prehabilitation and more recently, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, aiming to improve outcomes and supportive care for people undergoing cancer treatment. |

Preoperative exercise to improve fitness in patients undergoing complex surgery for cancer of the lung or oesophagus a randomised controlled trial.
Learning outcomes::-
· Understand the role of prehabilitation in patients undergoing major lung or oesophageal cancer surgery
· Describe the principles and delivery of preoperative high-intensity interval training (HIIT)
· Recognise the relationship between preoperative fitness and postoperative outcomes
· Discuss key findings from the PRE-HIIT randomised controlled trial
· Explore the physiotherapist’s role in perioperative cancer care and enhanced recovery pathways
· Consider how evidence-based prehabilitation programmes can be implemented in clinical practice
